Getting PAES Scan working on your network

PAES Scan runs in a browser and on mobile devices. On school-managed devices (often controlled by management software such as JAMF, Mosyle, or Intune), the network can block the addresses PAES Scan needs until they are added to your approved list. This is the most common reason PAES Scan will not load or log in.

For your IT team. Please allow (whitelist) the following PAES Scan addresses on your network and in any device-management software. If your school uses content filtering or SSL inspection, allow them through both.

Also please enable and open outbound port 8000, and allow system email from sendgrid.com and the sender address selfservice@paesauthor.com.

For teachers: you do not need to do this yourself. Forward this page to whoever manages your school or district devices, and they will recognize exactly what is needed.

Login and password help

If you cannot log in, run these quick checks first:

  1. Make sure you are at the right address: app.paesscan.com.
  2. Confirm your school network allows PAES Scan (see the section above). A blocked network is the most common cause.
  3. Use the email address your account was set up with. If you are not sure which one, contact support.

If a password reset email does not arrive: some schools have strict email security that blocks automated emails. Check your spam folder, and ask your IT team to allow mail from sendgrid.com through your email filter, as that is what PAES Scan uses to send system emails. If it still has not come through, email support@paesauthor.com and we will send you a manual reset so you are not left waiting on your school filter.
